Two Palestinians Martyred by Israeli Occupation Forces’ Fire East of Gaza City

Gaza city: Two Palestinians were martyred on Monday by Israeli occupation forces' fire east of Gaza City, in a new violation of the ceasefire agreement in force since October 10.

According to Qatar News Agency, local sources in Gaza reported that one Palestinian was martyred after being targeted by Israeli drone fire in the Yellow Line area of the Shuja'iyya neighborhood. Another Palestinian was shot dead by occupation forces near the Shuja'iyya courthouse.

Earlier on Monday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 70,937 martyrs and 171,192 injured. The ministry noted that several victims remain trapped under the rubble, with ambulance and rescue crews unable to reach them.

The ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel came into effect on October 10. This followed the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from populated areas of the Strip and the return of displaced residents to northern Gaza, as part of the first phase of US President Donald Trump's initiative to end the war on Gaza.
