Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani witnessed this morning the completion ceremony of the Doha Historical Dictionary of the Arabic Language in Katara Hall in the Fairmont and Raffles Hotels in Doha.
According to Qatar News Agency, a film was shown during the ceremony about the new electronic portal of the dictionary. This portal provides users with historical lexical material and highlights the dictionary's role in enhancing the Arabic language's digital presence. It aims to expand the number of people benefiting from it through modern and advanced means.
His Highness honored the experts, researchers, and editors who contributed to the completion of the dictionary project at various stages. This gesture was in appreciation of their scientific and research efforts, as well as the significant service they provided to the Arabic language.
The ceremony was attended by a number of Their Excellencies Ministers, representatives of regional and international organizations, heads of Arabic language academies, individuals interested in Arab culture, members of the Scientific Council of the Doha Historical Dictionary of the Arabic Language, as well as experts, researchers, and guests of the ceremony.
