Turkish, Palestinian Presidents Discuss Ongoing Israeli Attacks

Doha: Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Palestinian counterpart, Mahmoud Abbas discussed, over the phone Saturday, the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people.

According to Qatar News Agency, Turkiye's Communications Directorate released a statement indicating that the discussion between the two leaders covered regional and international topics of mutual interest.

The statement highlighted Erdogan's focus on the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza due to the re-escalation of Israeli attacks. Erdogan emphasized that Palestinians can overcome the current crisis only by acting in unity. Furthermore, the Turkish President assured that Turkiye continues to ensure that Palestine's voice is heard on every platform. He expressed his wish for the Palestinian people to achieve peace and tranquility soon.
