Tulkarm: For the 62nd consecutive day, Israeli occupation forces continued their assault on the city of Tulkarm and its refugee camp, and for the 49th day on Nur Shams camp in the occupied West Bank, amid escalating aggression and the deployment of additional military reinforcements, including heavy machinery and bulldozers.
According to Qatar News Agency, Israeli forces sent new reinforcements, including military vehicles and heavy bulldozers, into Nur Shams camp, which remains under a relentless military campaign and a suffocating siege. Soldiers have fired illumination flares over Haret Al-Mahjar neighborhood and spread throughout Jabal Al-Salihin area inside the camp, conducting large-scale search operations.
Meanwhile, Tulkarm refugee camp is witnessing a heavy military presence, with Israeli troops raiding homes, breaking down doors, and ransacking properties. Simultaneously, forced displacement continues, as residents of Al-Hadaida and Al-Rabay'a neighborhoods have been evicted under threat, with occupation forces seizing dozens of homes and turning them into military outposts.
In a related development, Israeli forces intensified their military presence across the city, setting up flying checkpoints at its entrances, particularly at Far'oun roundabout in the south, Salam roundabout in the east, Nablus Street near Tulkarm camp, and Thannaba neighborhood near Al-Attar platforms.
Israeli forces also detained two young men from Thannaba neighborhood, east of Tulkarm, before releasing them later.
The ongoing assault on Tulkarm and its camps so far resulted in the killing of 13 Palestinians, including a child and two women one of whom was eight months pregnant along with dozens of injuries and arrests. More than 4,000 families have been forcibly displaced from Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, in addition to dozens of families from the northern part of the city, after Israeli forces seized their homes and converted several into military barracks.
The aggression caused widespread destruction to infrastructure, homes, businesses, and vehicles, with reports of extensive damage, arson, looting, and theft. In Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps alone, 396 homes have been completely destroyed, while 2,573 others have suffered partial damage. The entrances and alleyways of both camps have also been sealed off with dirt barriers.
