Russia Announces Control Over Two New Villages in Eastern Ukraine

Doha: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced Saturday that its forces have taken control of two new villages in eastern Ukraine.

According to Qatar News Agency, In a statement issued by the ministry, it clarified that Russian forces have seized the villages of Sredniy and Kleban-Byk in the Donetsk region.

Since the outbreak of the conflict in February 2022, Russia has been seeking full control over the regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia, which it declared annexed in the same year.
