Monaco: Four Qatari riders are participating in the eighth round of the Longines Global Champions Tour, held at the famous Port Hercule in the city of Monaco.
According to Qatar News Agency, the round will take place from July 3 to 5, 2025. It is considered one of the most prominent stops of the championship, where elite riders from around the world gather, along with the highest levels of show jumping horses.
The list of Qatari riders includes Sheikh Ali bin Khalid Al-Thani, Mohammed Al Baker, Rashid Al Marri, and Ghanem Al Qadhi. This round is distinguished by its unique location in the heart of the famous Formula 1 arena, adding a special character to Monte Carlo, which is home to a large number of the world's wealthy elite.
Participants will compete for substantial prize money exceeding two million euros, including a grand prize of 1.5 million euros awarded to the winner by the Prince of Monaco.
Leading the overall standings in the championship is Belgian rider Gilles Thomas, who succeeded in winning the grand prize in the seventh round held in Paris. He is closely followed by French rider Simon Delestre, who is also aiming to claim the Monaco title.
The 2025 global championship continues with the participation of elite riders in 16 cities around the world. It began at Al Shaqab in Doha and continues in cities such as Mexico City, Shanghai, Madrid, Cannes, St. Tropez, Paris, Monaco, London, Valkenswaard, New York, Vienna, Rome, and Riyadh, concluding with the final round in the Czech capital, Prague.
