Qatar Handball Association Convenes General Assembly Meeting

Doha: The Qatar Handball Association conducted its Ordinary General Assembly meeting on Thursday, with the presence of the Chairman, members of the Board of Directors, club representatives, and a representative of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC).

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting included the ratification of the minutes from the previous meeting, presentation of reports on past and future activities, approval of the audited financial statements for the past year, and appointment of financial auditors. Additionally, the budget for the coming year was presented, alongside discussions on the future vision for developing national teams and local competitions.

The assembly reviewed final arrangements for the Qatar Cup and HH the Amir Cup tournaments. Challenges facing the sport were also discussed, with a focus on enhancing the technical and administrative work of clubs and national teams.

Ahmed Al Shaabi, President of the Qatar Handball Association, stated that the meeting was conducted in a positive manner, reflecting the aspirations for the development of Qatari handball. He expressed gratitude towards club representatives for their cooperation, which strengthens the pursuit of achieving results that honor Qatari handball globally and on the continent.

Mohammed Jaber Al Mulla, the association's secretary general, remarked on the constructive atmosphere during the meeting, highlighting the partnership and cooperation between the Federation and clubs. He assured that all proposals from club representatives will be carefully studied to benefit the future of Qatari handball.

Al Mulla emphasized the goal of continuing to represent Qatar with distinction in continental and international arenas, preserving the achievements of Qatari handball, and striving for further successes.
