Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Spain, Jose Manuel Alvarez. The conversation centered on the escalating military tensions in the region and their implications for both regional and international security.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the call, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani condemned the Iranian attacks on Qatari territory, asserting that they are unjustifiable. He emphasized Qatar's commitment to remaining neutral in regional conflicts and its efforts to mediate dialogue between Iran and the international community.
He highlighted the dangers posed by targeting critical infrastructure, including water, food, and energy facilities, cautioning that such actions could lead to significant risks for the region's population. The Prime Minister urged for an immediate halt to escalatory actions and advocated for a return to negotiations to preserve regional security.
