Ramallah: The Palestinian Presidency warned Tuesday of the ongoing dangerous Israeli escalation in the West Bank, most recently the storming of the cities of Ramallah and Hebron, the arrest and injury of dozens of citizens, the destruction of property, and the theft of funds.
According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement, the Presidency described these attacks as criminal and an act of aggression against the Palestinian people and their land, holding the Israeli government responsible for this escalation.
It stressed that the Israeli government is pushing the situation toward a major explosion with the aim of forcing the Palestinian people to leave their land and displace them.
The statement emphasized that the Palestinian people will not emigrate or give up their land and holy sites, and that security and peace for all or no security for anyone.
The Palestinian Presidency also called on the international community to assume its responsibilities to halt these condemned and unacceptable Israeli actions, which will only lead to further escalation and the exacerbation of the already volatile situation in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and Jerusalem.
This morning, Israeli occupation forces stormed the center of Ramallah and Al Bireh Governorate, reinforced by a large number of troops, and surrounded and suppressed a peaceful protest on the National Day to recover the bodies of detained martyrs. This was accompanied by attacks on citizens and their property.
