Palestinian Foreign Ministry: Israeli Kneet’s Call to Annex West Bank is Declaration of New War Against Palestinian People

Ramallah: The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has instructed its ambassadors to all countries, the United Nations and its agencies, and various international organizations to take urgent action with foreign ministries, decision-making bodies, and public opinion worldwide. The goal is to expose and condemn the Israeli Kneet's call to impose so-called "sovereignty" over the occupied West Bank, and to underscore the grave consequences of such annexation on the viability of the two-state solution and the broader security and stability of the region and the world.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement issued today, the Ministry clarified that it has directed its diplomatic missions to prepare for the immediate recognition of the State of Palestine, support its bid for full membership in the United Nations, and push for the imposition of peace on the occupying power, Israel, in accordance with international law, UN resolutions, and the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice.

The Ministry described the Israeli move as a declaration of a new war on the Palestinian people, and as yet another form of the ongoing crimes of genocide, forced displacement, and annexation, measures aimed at erasing the Palestinian cause and dismantling the international consensus on the need to establish a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The statement characterized the Kneet's call as a purely racist and colonialist act, amounting to an official Israeli confession of genocidal policies and an attempt to institutionalize the geographic and political separation between the West Bank and Gaza Strip. It further emphasized that this development affirms the futility of continued international appeals to the occupying state, and the ineffectiveness of relying on its willingness to abandon expansionist colonial ambitions.

The Ministry stressed that unless the global consensus on the two-state solution is reinforced with concrete international sanctions and deterrent measures, the Israeli government will remain emboldened in its violations and will persist in denying the Palestinian people their legitimate and inalienable national rights.
