Sulawesi: A 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck Indonesia's Sulawesi region today.
According to Qatar News Agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre stated in a report that the earthquake's epicenter was at a depth of 30 kilometers. No casualties or material damage have been reported so far.
Earthquakes frequently strike various parts of Indonesia due to its location along the Pacific Ring of Fire, where multiple tectonic plates meet, causing frequent volcanic and seismic activity.
