Pakistani Security Forces Announce Killing of Eight Militants

Pakistani security forces: Pakistani security forces killed eight militants Monday during security operations in the northwest of the country.

According to Qatar News Agency, security operations, carried out based on intelligence regarding the presence of armed elements in the Peshawar, Bannu, and Khyber districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, resulted in the deaths of eight militants.

The agency added that the operations also led to the seizure of quantities of weapons and ammunition in their possession.

Earlier Monday, six Pakistani policemen were killed and others wounded when an improvised explosive device (IED) targeted their vehicle in northwestern Pakistan.
