Qatar to Host Prestigious International LNG Conference Under Amir’s Patronage

Doha: Qatari newspapers have highlighted QatarEnergy's forthcoming role as host for the 21st International Conference and Exhibition on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG2026) in February.

According to Qatar News Agency, this significant event will occur under the esteemed patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, emphasizing Qatar's leadership in the global LNG industry.

The editorials noted Qatar's achievements in advancing its public healthcare system, leading to all its municipalities receiving the "Healthy City" designation from the World Health Organization. Additionally, Education City and Qatar University were recognized as "Healthy Educational City" and "Healthy University," respectively.

In its editorial, Al-Raya underscored the conference's significance as a testament to Qatar's role as a reliable supplier of clean energy. The event will gather industry leaders, policymakers, and experts from over 80 countries to discuss the future of energy and global energy security.

Doha's hosting of this event, accompanied by a major exhibition of global companies, reflects confidence in Qatar's investment environment and its capacity to unite energy industry stakeholders. Qatar's strategic vision in the LNG sector has facilitated its expansion into new markets and the formation of global partnerships.

Al-Sharq highlighted the anticipated growth in Qatar's LNG production, expected to reach 142 million tonnes per year by the decade's end. The conference will position Qatar as a key player in promoting sustainable and reliable energy solutions worldwide.
