Doha: HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour Sheikha Najwa bint Abdulrahman Al-Thani met with Director of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Office in Doha, Max Tunon, on the occasion of the end of his tenure in the State of Qatar. During the meeting, HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour presented Tunon with a commemorative shield in recognition of his service and contributions.

According to Qatar News Agency, Tunon played a pivotal role in advancing technical cooperation between the State of Qatar and the ILO. He significantly strengthened joint programmes concerning labour and workers' rights, and promoted the exchange of expertise and innovative practices at both regional and global levels.
