Gaza city: Five Palestinians were killed and several others were injured in an Israeli airstrike on a desalination plant in Gaza City Monday afternoon.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Israeli occupation forces targeted a water desalination plant in the central Al Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City, killing five civilians, including a woman, and wounding others. This is part of a continuing policy of targeting vital infrastructure and civilians in the Gaza Strip.

The death toll from the Israeli occupation's aggression on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 59,029 martyrs, in addition to 142,135 wounded.

The Gaza Strip has been witnessing an ongoing Israeli aggression since Oct. 2023, causing widespread destruction and massive internal displacement of its population. This comes amid growing international warnings of a worsening humanitarian situation and clear signs of a famine threatening the lives of thousands of Palestinians.
