Iraqi Airways Resumes Operations After Temporary Suspension

Baghdad: Iraqi Airways has announced the resumption of its flights after a temporary suspension, according to a statement. The national carrier will resume operations starting Friday, April 10. This move is part of the airline's plan to reorganize both domestic and international air traffic, ensuring travel is possible via its fleet following the completion of necessary technical and operational requirements.

According to Qatar News Agency, the initial phase of the resumed operations will include domestic flights connecting Baghdad with the governorates of Erbil, Sulaimaniyah, and Basra. Additionally, there will be several flights to international destinations, such as Istanbul, Cairo, and Amman. These flights will operate according to a structured operational schedule designed to accommodate the smooth flow of air traffic and meet travel demand.

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Transport confirmed the full reopening of Iraqi airspace to air traffic, facilitating the resumption of operations by Iraqi Airways.
