As suwaida: The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) announced Tuesday the arrival of a team in the city of As Suwaida in southern Syria, which has been witnessing a military escalation since the beginning of this month.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement, the ICRC explained that its team was able to conduct a direct assessment of the areas where the needs are most acute. The team also joined the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) humanitarian convoy that headed to the city yesterday, Monday.

The ICRC also affirmed its continued efforts to achieve greater access to the area as well as its support for the ongoing emergency response provided by the SARC to those most in need of assistance in the region.
