London: Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed defender Djed Spence has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
According to Qatar News Agency, the 25-year-old, whose current contract is set to expire in 2028, delivered strong performances last season with the north London side. Spence originally joined Hotspur from Middlesbrough in 2022, but it wasn't until late 2024 that he became a regular fixture in the first team.
Spence recently featured in Tottenham's 3-0 victory over Burnley last Saturday in the opening round of the English Premier League, signaling his vital role in the squad's lineup moving forward.
