Sinner, Alcaraz, Swiatek to Compete in US Open Mixed Doubles

New york: World number one Jannik Sinner of Italy, world number two Carlos Alcaraz of Spain, and world number three Iga Swiatek of Poland have decided to participate in the mixed doubles competition at the US Open, the last of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments scheduled to be held from August 24 to September 7.

According to Qatar News Agency, Italian Sinner will compete at Flushing Meadows alongside Czech Katerina Siniakova, the second-ranked doubles player at the tournament. Spain's Alcaraz will partner with Britain's Emma Raducanu, while Poland's Iga Swiatek will join forces with Norway's Casper Ruud.

Meanwhile, Serbian star Novak Djokovic will play alongside his compatriot Olga Danilovic. American Jessica Pegula will team up with Briton Jack Draper, and American Taylor Townsend will partner with her compatriot Ben Shelton. Frenchman Gael Monfils will play alongside Japanese Naomi Osaka.
