China Launches New Satellite Group to Boost Internet Connectivity

China: China launched a Long March-8A carrier rocket in the southern island province of Hainan, sending a new group of internet satellites into space.

According to Qatar News Agency, the rocket successfully placed the payloads, marking the 18th group of low-orbit internet satellites, into preset orbit.

China has also launched the Yaogan-50 01 remote sensing satellite into space on the same day, which will be used for national land surveys, crop yield estimation, and disaster prevention and mitigation.

The launch was the 624th flight mission undertaken by the Long March rocket series.
