Katara Celebrates Iraqi Heritage with Gastronomy Event

Doha: In celebration of Iraqi heritage, the Cultural Village Foundation - Katara organized the Gastronomy Event in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in the State of Qatar, held at Hall 32 in Katara.

According to Qatar News Agency, this event aligns with Katara's cultural mission aimed at broadening horizons of intercultural exchange, fostering closer ties among the diverse customs and traditions shared by the peoples of the region, and reinforcing common human values.

The event featured the presentation of the traditional Iraqi dish Dolma, one of the most prominent symbols of Iraqi cuisine, alongside traditional Iraqi tea and sweets, in an atmosphere that reflected the depth of Iraqi cultural heritage and the richness of its diversity.

In his remarks during the event, HE Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Qatar, Mohammed Jaafar Al Sadr, expressed his deep gratitude to the Katara Cultural Village Foundation for this cultural initiative. He also expressed his hope for continued cooperation through the organization of future events that showcase Iraqi heritage in various cultural and artistic fields.

The Katara Cultural Village Foundation continues to organize a series of cultural events in cooperation with accredited diplomatic missions to the State, contributing to the strengthening of mutual understanding among peoples and enhancing Doha's position as a global destination for civilizational dialogue and cultural diversity.
