Afghan and Chinese Foreign Ministers Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations in Kabul

Kabul: Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi met with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi, who is currently visiting the capital Kabul, to discuss ways to enhance relations between the two countries across various fields.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting, the Afghan Foreign Minister stated that his country is ready to strengthen security cooperation and counterterrorism efforts with China, in order to jointly maintain lasting peace and stability in the region.

For his part, the Chinese Foreign Minister affirmed that his country will continue to support the Afghan government in governance, focus on development, firmly combat terrorism, and promote good neighborliness, friendship, and lasting stability.
