Winners Crowned in Women’s Singles at 2025 Asian Junior Bowling Championship

Doha: The women's singles medal ceremony of the 24th Asian Junior Bowling Championship was held today, Sunday, in Doha. Organized by Qatar Bowling Federation in cooperation with the Asian Bowling Federation, the tournament runs through August 2.

According to Qatar News Agency, Malaysia's Quratul Ain Buzi claimed the gold medal with a top score of 1,239 points across six rounds, averaging 206.5 points. China's Yiru Li secured the silver with a total of 1,206 points, while Taiwan's Yi-Cheng Ho earned the bronze with 1,195 points.

The awards were presented by President of the Qatar Bowling Federation, Abdullah Sultan Al Qatani. Held at the Qatar Bowling Center, the championship features 79 male and 20 female players from 11 nations, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, China, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei, Bahrain, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and India.

The competition continues on Monday with the men's singles event, marking Team Qatar's debut in this edition. The Qatari lineup includes Talal Al Marri, Ibrahim Al Muraikhi, Abdulrahman Al Dosari, Abdullah Al Dosari, Musaad Al Muraikhi, Ahmed Al Dosari, Hassan Al Muraikhi, and Hamad Al Abdullah.

The men's singles event will be played in two blocks from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM, followed by the medal ceremony at 6:00 PM. Speaking on the sidelines, former Federation President Abdulsalam Abdullah expressed pride in Qatar's hosting of the championship, noting the country's reputation for organizing international events.

He stated that this is one of the important youth tournaments in Asia, consistently producing future stars. Participation is strong, which elevates the competitive level. He added that the tournament provides valuable experience for Qatari youth, helping them grow through exposure to talent from across Asia.

Tournament Director Salem Al Marzouqi echoed this optimism, saying that the Qatar team is among the standouts in this year's competition, aiming for the podium across several events. He added that this championship is a gateway to the future, with the young athletes gaining invaluable experience, expecting it to be a successful edition for this age group.
