Gaza: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) confirmed that more than 25,000 Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip have joined the temporary learning spaces established by the agency.

According to Qatar News Agency, Commissioner-General of UNRWA Philippe Lazzarini stated that with the ceasefire in place, UNRWA is enhancing its Back to Learning programme in Gaza, both in person and online. He emphasized the agency's commitment to increasing the number of these learning locations to accommodate more students.

Lazzarini further mentioned that UNRWA is also providing online classes, aiming to reach approximately 300,000 children in the Gaza Strip. He highlighted the role of education in combating despair and trauma, noting the importance of literacy in such efforts.

In his official post on X, Lazzarini acknowledged the dedication of UNRWA teachers, stating that none of these educational initiatives would be possible without their efforts.
