Doha: UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated on Sunday that Ukraine must be central to any discussions regarding its future. Addressing attendees at the annual Scottish Labor Conference, held in Glasgow, he underscored the importance of ensuring a secure and long-term future for the people of Ukraine.

According to Qatar News Agency, Starmer emphasized the necessity of maintaining solidarity with Ukraine, asserting that it aligns with the interests of the UK. He warned that instability in Europe could have lasting repercussions for Britain, affecting generations to come.

Starmer expressed support for the United States' calls for Europe to assume more responsibility for its own security. He affirmed that the UK would play a significant role in this effort. Starmer is scheduled to visit Washington on Thursday for discussions with US President Donald Trump.
