Sharjah: The Sharjah Government Media Bureau announced on Sunday that four individuals sustained injuries when debris fell at Khorfakkan Port. This incident occurred following the interception of an aerial threat targeting the port, which was neutralized by air defense systems.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Bureau detailed that the injured include one Nepalese national who suffered serious injuries and was subsequently transferred to a hospital for medical treatment. Additionally, three Pakistani nationals experienced minor to moderate injuries as a result of the debris.
The Bureau further stated that a fire ensued at the site but was swiftly brought under control. Cooling operations were reported to be ongoing to ensure the area is safe.
Emergency response teams were commended by the Bureau for their rapid and efficient handling of the situation, ensuring that the incident was managed effectively and minimizing further risk.
