UAE Reaffirms Right to Defense Amid Iranian Aggression

Doha: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) affirmed its defensive stance in response to aggressive actions from Iran, which included the launch of over 1,400 ballistic missiles and drones targeting key infrastructure and civilian sites. These attacks have resulted in both civilian deaths and injuries, marking a significant breach of international law and the UN Charter. The UAE considers these actions as a violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity, posing a direct threat to its national security and stability.

According to Qatar News Agency, a statement from the UAE's foreign ministry emphasized the nation's desire to avoid being drawn into further conflicts or escalations. Nonetheless, the UAE has reiterated its full right to employ all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, national security, and territorial integrity. The statement also highlighted the UAE's commitment to safeguarding its citizens and residents in line with international law and the principles of the UN Charter.
