Doha: HH President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met Thursday with U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss strengthening strategic relations between the two countries and expanding cooperation across various fields to serve their mutual interests.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting, held as part of Trump's state visit to the UAE, both leaders explored avenues for enhancing collaboration, particularly in investment, advanced technology, and artificial intelligence. They focused on identifying opportunities that could benefit both nations economically and technologically.
The discussions also covered several regional and international issues of mutual concern, with a focus on developments in the Middle East. Efforts to establish a ceasefire in Gaza and contain escalations that threaten regional security and stability were among the primary topics. Both leaders expressed a commitment to working together to address these challenges and emphasized the importance of international cooperation in achieving lasting peace and security in the region.
