Abu dhabi: The Emirati Ministry of Defence announced that UAE air defence systems were intercepting missile attacks and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched from Iran. The Ministry confirmed that the sounds heard in various areas across the country are the result of interception operations carried out by air defence systems against ballistic missiles, as well as by fighter jets targeting UAVs and cruise-type aerial threats.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry detailed that the UAE's defensive actions are in response to the continuous threats posed by these aerial attacks. The interception operations were aimed at ensuring the safety of the nation's airspace and minimizing any potential harm to civilian areas.
The Ministry reassured the public that the air defence systems are fully equipped and operational, maintaining round-the-clock vigilance to address any such threats. The UAE's strategic response highlights its commitment to safeguarding national security amidst ongoing regional tensions.
