Gaza city: Palestinian medical sources reported on Wednesday the death of two individuals due to malnutrition in the Gaza Strip within the past 24 hours, raising the total number of famine-related deaths to 113.
According to Qatar News Agency, hospitals across the Gaza Strip continue to receive numerous cases of malnutrition amid worsening famine conditions. Approximately 900,000 children in Gaza are suffering from hunger, with 70,000 of them already experiencing acute malnutrition.
The same medical sources confirmed that 10 people died on Tuesday as a result of starvation and malnutrition.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) had earlier warned that malnutrition rates among children under the age of five had doubled between March and June due to the ongoing Israeli blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip.
