Turkiye, Syria Sign 10 Economical, Commercial MoUs

Doha: Economic and trade institutions in Turkiye and Syria signed ten Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), as part of a roundtable meeting held at the headquarters of the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) on Wednesday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting saw the signing of MoUs between the Turkish-Syrian and Syrian-Turkish business councils; DEIK and each of the Chambers of Commerce of Damascus, Aleppo, Latakia, and Hama individually; DEIK and the Aleppo Chamber of Industry; the Istanbul and Damascus Chambers of Commerce; the Cizre Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Aleppo Chamber of Commerce; as well as the Southeast Anatolian Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters' Association signing two MoUs, one with the Damascus Chamber of Commerce and another with the Aleppo Chamber of Commerce.

This comes a day after the Protocol on the Establishment of the Turkiye-Syria Joint Economic and Trade Committee was signed in the presence of Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat and Syrian Economy and Industry Minister Nidal Al Shaar.
