Doha: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan affirmed Tuesday that Syria will remain a priority in Turkish foreign policy in all its aspects. During discussions in the Turkish Parliament, Fidan stated that the Syrian people's attainment of freedom has given them the opportunity to determine their own future. He explained that his country has consistently coordinated effectively with countries in the region regarding the Syrian issue.
According to Qatar News Agency, Fidan emphasized that Israel's activities in Quneitra, Daraa, and Suwaida have created new tensions in southern Syria. Regarding the recent developments in the Gaza Strip, the Turkish minister reiterated his country's firm stance against Israel's policies of genocide and its attempts to destabilize the region, stressing that the two-state solution is the key to peace in Palestine and the region.
