Doha: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, ongoing efforts to end the Russian-Ukrainian war, in a phone call on Thursday. During the call, Fidan briefed Kallas on his assessments of the meetings held during his visit to Russia early last week and his current visit to Ukraine.

According to Qatar News Agency, on May 15 and 16, Turkiye hosted negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, which culminated in an agreement to exchange 2,000 prisoners from each side.
