Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and US Ambassador to Ankara and its envoy to Syria Thomas Barrack, met Thursday to discuss the recent developments in Syria. During the meeting, the two sides also touched upon efforts to reduce tensions between the United States and Iran, and to prevent any new escalation in the Middle East that could negatively affect the region’s security and stability.
According to Qatar News Agency, Syria recently witnessed military developments in the eastern part of the country, which ended with the signing of a ceasefire agreement on the 18th of this month, while tensions continue to dominate the relations between Iran and the United States.
