Lozova: Three people were killed in a Russian drone attack on the city of Lozova, located in Ukraine's eastern Kharkiv region.
According to Qatar News Agency, Ukrainian authorities reported that Russian strikes in the east of the country killed three people and injured at least 12 others. The attack targeted railway infrastructure in Lozova, which had previously been hit in a similar strike in February 2022.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated on Telegram that Russia launched more than 25 drones toward the city, striking "civilian infrastructure." He confirmed that the attack damaged railway facilities, including a warehouse and a station, injuring ten people.
Ukraine's Air Force reported that Russia launched 46 attack drones and a ballistic missile on Lozova. The city's mayor, Serhiy Zelenskyy, described the strike as the largest on the city since the war began.
Meanwhile, Russia announced today that its Eastern Group forces had taken control of the town of Yanivarske in the Dnipropetrovsk region of central Ukraine.
The Russian Ministry of Defense also reported that its air defenses shot down 24 Ukrainian drones overnight, including 13 over Bryansk, seven over Rostov, and two over Kaluga and Smolensk.
The battlefield situation across various fronts remains unclear due to conflicting claims by both sides. However, most reports suggest that Russian forces continue to advance in eastern Ukraine, while Kyiv urges its Western allies to help it reclaim the territory it lost during the war.
