Doha: Somali security forces announced that three ISIS members were killed in an airstrike in the Bari region of Puntland, northeastern Somalia.

According to Qatar News Agency, both the federal government and the United States Africa Command confirmed the execution of a joint military operation against the hideouts of ISIS militia leaders in the Bari region of Puntland.

The airstrike resulted in the deaths of three ISIS militants, with no reported injuries or casualties among civilians.

The federal government of Somalia and its international allies remain committed to enhancing cooperation in the mission to eliminate armed groups.
