Summer Innovation Camp Empowers Future Qatari Entrepreneurs

Doha: The Summer Innovation Camp for Entrepreneurs has officially commenced, marking a significant step in nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit among young Qataris. The initiative, which involves key educational and business institutions, aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical applications in the realm of entrepreneurship.

According to Qatar News Agency, Dr. Khalid Al Hashmi, Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Institutional Excellence at Qatar University, emphasized the university's role in the national program, highlighting its commitment to enhancing students' skills and fostering an environment of innovation. Qatar University stands as a crucial partner in cultivating entrepreneurial thinking within its academic community.

Hamad Mubarak Al Hajri, Founder and CEO of Snoonu, expressed the importance of empowering youth as the foundation of a sustainable digital economy. He emphasized Snoonu's role in the 2025 Summer Innovation Camp as a model for integrating education with real-world applications and promoting a culture of entrepreneurship among students.

Abdulrahman Al Emadi, Director of Administrative Affairs at the Young Entrepreneurs Club, noted that the Innovation Camp is aligned with the Club's vision to create new pathways for youth in entrepreneurship and innovation.

Ramzan Al Nuaimi, CEO of Innovation Streams, reaffirmed the significance of investing in young minds and how their partnership with the Summer Innovation Camp continues efforts to promote technological creativity and entrepreneurship.

Saad A. Al Kharji, Executive Director of Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), underlined the importance of providing youth with hands-on experiences that connect education with the real world, aiming to develop practical skills and an innovative mindset as part of Qatar's National Vision 2030.

Mariam Fareed, CEO of TYC Youth Company, highlighted the company's commitment to connecting youth with real-world opportunities and supporting their journey toward entrepreneurial success, as demonstrated by their participation in the YXS Career Fair.

Eman Al Obaidly, Executive Director of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Ambassadors, concluded by emphasizing that investing in youth is crucial for a sustainable future. She recognized social innovation and entrepreneurship as key tools for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and praised the Innovation Camp as an ideal platform for realizing this vision, aligning with Qatar's comprehensive and sustainable development goals.
