State of Qatar Engages in Arab League Event for Biodiversity Celebration

Cairo: The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC), participated in an event organized by the General Secretariat of the Arab League at its headquarters to celebrate the International Day for Biological Diversity, which is observed annually on May 22. Qatar's involvement underscores its dedication to regional and international initiatives focused on biodiversity protection and natural resource conservation, in line with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030, especially regarding sustainable development and environmental balance.

According to Qatar News Agency, the event was attended by Khalid Jumaa Al Muhanadi, Assistant Director of the Wildlife Development Department at MoECC. The celebration included panel discussions and presentations that explored significant challenges facing biodiversity in the Arab region. The discussions also highlighted successful initiatives and experiences in nature conservation and ecosystem sustainability.
