Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz Reaches Wimbledon Final

London: Spanish tennis star Carlos Alcaraz has advanced to the final of Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam of the season, after defeating American Taylor Fritz in the semifinals today.

According to Qatar News Agency, Alcaraz, the tournament's defending champion and world No. 2, secured the win in four sets (6-4, 5-7, 6-3, 7-6) in a match that lasted two hours and 49 minutes.

With this victory, the 22-year-old Spaniard achieved a new milestone, becoming the youngest player in the modern era to record 10 wins against top-five ranked opponents in Grand Slam tournaments since the ATP rankings were introduced in 1973.

Alcaraz also now holds the highest winning percentage against top-five players in Grand Slam history and has become the third-youngest player in the Open Era to reach the finals of both Roland Garros and Wimbledon in consecutive years. He will face Italy's Jannik Sinner in the final.
