Doha: Somalia strongly condemned the attack launched by Iran against the State of Qatar, considering it a flagrant violation of international law and a serious threat to regional peace and stability.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement, the Somali Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expressed Somalia's full solidarity with the State of Qatar and its unwavering support for Qatar's sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

The statement continued by saying that Somalia remains steadfast in its commitment to a rules-based international order based on respect for national sovereignty, the inviolability of borders, and the peaceful resolution of disputes through dialogue and mutual understanding.

The statement urged all parties to exercise restraint and called on the international community to stand united in supporting peace and respect for sovereign states.
