Somalia: Somali Foreign Minister Abdisalam Abdi Ali discussed with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and a number of regional issues of mutual interest in a telephone call on Monday.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the call, the two ministers also discussed coordination within international institutions to promote peace and development in the Horn of Africa. The conversation highlighted both nations' commitment to working together on international platforms to address challenges in the region.
The Chinese minister reiterated his country's full support for the territorial integrity of Somalia, emphasizing that Somaliland is an integral part of Somalia. This statement underscores China's stance on respecting and supporting Somalia's sovereignty and territorial unity.
