Doha: HE Shura Council Speaker Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim engaged in discussions with a UK Parliament delegation on Wednesday during the Qatar Economic Forum 2025. The meeting aimed to enhance bilateral parliamentary relations and address topics of mutual interest.

According to Qatar News Agency, the delegation was led by HE Shadow Economic Secretary (Treasury) Mark Garnier. The discussions primarily focused on strengthening ties between the two parliaments and evaluating the ongoing situation in the Gaza Strip. HE Al Ghanim emphasized the importance of parliaments in playing a moral and humanitarian role to stop the Israeli aggression in Gaza. He urged for adherence to international humanitarian law and international conventions and resolutions, while ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid.

Both parties recognized the importance of collaboration in addressing global and regional challenges and expressed their commitment to fostering strong diplomatic and legislative connections.
