Several Earthquakes Hit Italian Islands, No Casualties

Rome: Several earthquakes struck Italian islands in the Mediterranean Sea early today.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology reported that a 4.6 magnitude earthquake struck at a depth of 29 kilometers near the Aeolian Islands in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the northern coast of Sicily. Shortly after, a 4.3 magnitude earthquake hit a nearby area three minutes later.

There were no reports of casualties or damage resulting from the earthquakes.
