Saudi Arabia Strongly Condemns Israeli Occupation’s Decision to Take Over Gaza

Riyadh: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia strongly and unequivocally condemned the decision by the Israeli occupation authorities to take over the Gaza Strip, and firmly denounced the crimes of starvation, acts of brutality, and ethnic cleansing being committed against the Palestinian people.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement today, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the inhumane ideas and decisions adopted by the Israeli occupation authorities without deterrence once again demonstrate their disregard for the emotional, historical, and legal connection of the Palestinian people to their land, as well as their inalienable right to it based on international law and humanitarian principles.

The Kingdom warned that the continued failure of the international community and the UN Security Council to immediately halt Israeli attacks and violations undermines the foundations of the international order and international legitimacy, threatens security and peace at both the regional and global levels, and portends grave consequences that encourage acts of genocide and forced displacement.

It also stressed that Israel's ongoing crimes require the international community to take concrete, firm, and deterrent measures to end the humanitarian catastrophe facing the Palestinian people, and to pave the way for a two-state solution by establishing an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with relevant UN resolutions.
