Saudi Arabia and Netherlands Forge SR 428 Million Agricultural Investment Partnerships

The Hague: Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands have entered into a series of significant agreements and memoranda of understanding aimed at bolstering collaboration in the sectors of environment, water, and agriculture. These partnerships come with a substantial investment commitment, collectively exceeding SR 428 million.

According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 27 agreements and memoranda of understanding were formalized during the visit of a delegation from the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture to the Netherlands. These agreements are poised to enhance bilateral cooperation and pave the way for advancements in various agricultural domains.

The scope of these agreements encompasses agricultural technology and research, with a focus on fostering capacity-building partnerships in agricultural innovation. Furthermore, the partnerships aim to advance greenhouse agriculture solutions, promote green biotechnology, and improve potato cultivation and processing techniques. These initiatives are expected to drive sustainable agricultural practices and technological advancements in both countries.
