S. Korean and Chinese Leaders Discuss Bilateral Relations in Beijing

Beijing: During his official visit to Beijing, South Korean President Lee Jae Myung engaged in discussions with Chinese Premier Li Qiang to explore avenues for further developing bilateral relations between the two countries. The meeting highlighted the ongoing diplomatic efforts to strengthen ties between South Korea and China.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions between President Lee and Premier Li followed a summit talk between Lee and Chinese President Xi Jinping. President Lee emphasized South Korea's hope for China's support in promoting peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula. Premier Li responded by affirming China's commitment to its relationship with South Korea, expressing a willingness to enhance strategic communication and political mutual trust. He pledged to take a leading role in expanding cooperation to improve the well-being of both nations' citizens.

During their talks, the leaders reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining strong, friendly cooperation based on mutual benefit and win-win outcomes. They agreed to promote their bilateral strategic partnership along a healthy path, aiming to enhance the well-being of their peoples and contribute positively to regional and global peace and development.

Following the discussions, President Xi and President Lee witnessed the signing of 15 cooperation documents. These agreements cover various fields, including scientific and technological innovation, ecological environment, transportation, and economic and trade cooperation.
