Russia Accuses Ukraine of Launching 6 Attacks on Energy Facilities

Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense on Monday hurled accusations against the Ukrainian forces for carrying out six attacks on the energy infrastructure facilities in Russia over the past 24 hours.

According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry stated that these facilities are located in the Rostov Oblast, the Voronezh Oblast, the Kherson Oblast, the Bryansk Oblast, and the Donetsk Oblast. The attacks have reportedly resulted in cutting off electricity to thousands of residents in these districts.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova commented on the situation, suggesting that Ukraine's targeting of Russian energy facilities is an attempt to disrupt ongoing dialogue between Moscow and Washington. She emphasized that Russia will not succumb to these strikes and placed full responsibility on Kyiv.

On March 25, the Russian Presidency announced that Russia and the United States had agreed on a list of Russian and Ukrainian facilities subject to a temporary ban on strikes targeting energy infrastructure.
