Doha: The Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA) has launched a forum focusing on innovation, sustainability, and achieving social impact. The two-day event is organized in partnership with the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies and includes participation from experts, academics, and specialists.
According to Qatar News Agency, the forum is designed to enhance the charitable work system, promote institutional innovation, and consolidate financial sustainability concepts. It also aims to build the capacities of non-profit organizations to measure and achieve societal impact sustainably.
Rashid Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director of the Licensing and Support Department at RACA, highlighted that the forum is part of the Tamkeen 2026 program. This program seeks to enhance the institutional capabilities of charitable and humanitarian organizations in Qatar, aligning their performance with best practices.
Al Nuaimi noted the non-profit sector's shift towards more efficient and sustainable business models amid evolving governance requirements, diverse beneficiary needs, and changing funding patterns. This shift necessitates adopting innovative tools and sustainable financial models that link resources to results and impact, in accordance with the sector's strategy for 2025-2030 in Qatar.
The forum serves as a platform for dialogue and future planning, addressing challenges and developing solutions to maximize the sector's societal impact. Its second day will feature specialized sessions focusing on transforming theoretical outputs into practical tools for non-profit organizations, thus enhancing their readiness and adaptability.
The forum aligns with RACA's training programs under the Tamkeen 2026 initiative, supporting the objectives of its 2025-2030 strategy and the broader strategy of the charitable and humanitarian sector in Qatar. This effort is also in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 to enhance the sector's efficiency and consolidate its sustainable development impact both locally and internationally.
