Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a slight drop of 6.40 points, or 0.06%, as trading began on Monday, settling at 11,242 points from the previous session's close.
According to Qatar News Agency, data from the Qatar Stock Exchange indicated a mixed performance across various sectors. The Insurance sector saw a positive uptick of 0.77%, followed by Industrials and Real Estate with increases of 0.14% and 0.03%, respectively. Conversely, several sectors recorded negative performances, including Banks and Financial Services, which decreased by 0.02%, Consumer Goods and Services by 0.07%, Telecoms by 0.25%, and Transportation by 0.37%.
As of 10:00 am, the QSE reported a trading volume of 35.107 million shares, resulting in a total turnover of QR 70.714 million through 2,936 transactions.
