Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a decline of 28.47 points, or 0.26%, at the start of trading on Monday, falling to 10,802 points from the previous session's close. The decrease was predominantly influenced by losses observed across six sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Insurance sector led the downturn with a fall of 0.57%. This was followed by Transportation, which dropped by 0.29%, Telecoms by 0.26%, Banks and Financial Services by 0.19%, Industrials by 0.12%, and Consumer Goods and Services by 0.05%. In contrast, the Real Estate sector experienced a minor increase of 0.04%.
As of 10:00 am, the QSE recorded a trading volume of 16.760 million shares. The total turnover amounted to QR 46.555 million across 2,119 transactions, reflecting a subdued start to the trading session.
